Commanders at War: Stalingrad - Cauldron of Death is an operational-level wargame in the “Commanders at War” solitaire book wargame series.
The player controls the German 6th Army during Case Blue, the 1942 Eastern Front offensive attempting to reach Russia’s coveted oil-rich region. Standing in the way is the industrial city on the Volga River - Stalingrad. The stage is set for one of the most important and brutal battles in history.
Players get a chance to recreate the titanic clash between Germany and the Soviet Union in a dynamic solitaire wargame with a challenging enemy bot opponent. Only two D6 dice are required with minimal rolling; one roll resolves attack, defense, and potential events. Simple rules allow players to concentrate on gameplay while enjoying a deep and engaging solitaire operational wargaming experience.
